Applying an overnight hair mask will help you to achieve healthy and shiny hair where you can use glamorous clip in hair extensions to look beautiful. Here are a few good hair masks which you should try:

One with Aloe Vera & almond oil:

Benefits: Aloe Vera is like a magical plant that treats several skin and hair problems. Almond oil keeps your hair soft and silky because of its vitamin E content. It also keeps your scalp clean which improves hair growth. It also reduces dandruff.

Best for: Dandruff/ frizzy hair

Recipe and usage: Extract the aloe vera gel from the plant and add two tablespoons of sweet almond oil in it. Mix them well and keep a smooth consistency. Application and washing process is the same as the above hair mask.

One with Eggs & coconut oil:

Best for: Dry/ Damaged Hair

Recipe and usage: Add two eggs in a bowl then add 2 tablespoons of cold pressed coconut oil. Make sure you do not separate the egg yolk from the mixture as you need this to fulfill your sulphur requirement. Sulphur present in the egg yolk helps to stimulate hair growth and make the follicles stronger. Apply it on your hair from root to tip. Wrap your hair with a polythene and leave it overnight. Wash the hair mask off with a natural shampoo the next morning.

Benefits: This is an easy to make hair mask for dry hair. As you might know, eggs are really good for hair as they provide our hair with the protein nourishment it wants. It provides minerals too which helps in hair growth and controlling hair loss. On the other hand, coconut oil makes hair smooth and shiny by hydrating the hair and locking the moisture. It also helps to control frizzy hair.

One with Amla juice

Benefits: Amla or Indian Gooseberry has a high content of vitamin C. It helps to prevent premature greying of hair. It will give your hair shine and bounce. It is a powerhouse of vitamins and antioxidants.

Best for: Premature graying of hair/rough and unmanageable hair

Recipe and usage: Make a powder of Indian gooseberries in a blender. Now just add water to it and massage it on your scalp for 5 minutes. Make sure you apply it on clean hair. Wrap your hair with shower cap or polythene and wash them the next morning with a herbal shampoo.

One with curd and olive oil

Benefits: Curd has cooling properties which is good for your hair. Also, the acidity present in curd helps to soften your hair and control frizz. Use homemade curd for best results. Olive oil is beneficial for conditioning and smoothening hair. It makes hair shiny and tangle free. It helps to recover the hair damage done by styling or colouring hair.

Best for: Rough hair/ Straightened-damaged hair

Recipe and usage: Take 2 cups of curd and add it into 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix it well and apply it on your hair from roots to tips. Wrap your hair overnight and wash them off the next morning.

One with castor Oil, beer and banana

The goodness of castor oil, beer and banana makes the hair soft and shiny without putting any extra effort. A little bit of honey will add the needed moisture and shine.

Best for: Damaged and rough hair

Recipe and usage: Take all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them well. Make sure the paste is in a suitable quantity in accordance with your hair length and is consistent enough to be applied. Massage this mask on your scalp for 10-15 minutes and then cover it with a shower cap. Leave it for the entire night and then wash it the other day with a mild shampoo.

One with Curry leaf, oil and Alkanet Root (Ratanjot)

Benefits: It helps to prevent the premature greying caused due to stress.

Best for: Premature greying

Recipe and usage: Soak a ratanjot sticks in pure coconut oil for an entire night. This will release the red colour of the ratanjot sticks into the coconut oil. Now crush the fresh curry leaves and mix it with red colored oil. Mix it well and apply it on your scalp for 3 hours or even for the whole night. Wash it with a mild or herbal shampoo.
