Swine Flu
With the outbreak of the disastrous swine flu in India, the scientists have debated on the effective measures to prevent the swine flu. Within seven weeks, this disease has affect more than 13,000 people, causing 774 deaths. Madhya Pradesh is recorded to be the worst hit states with 448 cases and 9 deaths occurring till February 19. Unlike Madhya Pradesh, states like Delhi and NCR with higher public awareness and good public health, though the infrastructures have recorded high cases with fewer deaths.
Indian health officials are struggling continuously in order to contain a swine flu outbreak that has killed massive number of people dramatically. Since last week, the cases has doubled to more than 11,000. Critics have prosecuted the government not controlling the situation and failing to distribute medicines. But, on this aspect, the official has insisted that the situation was under control. Since 2010, this year’s outbreak of H1N1 virus seems to be the deadliest in India.
According to the health ministry, there are sufficient drugs to treat patients. The northern state of Rajasthan has badly affected.There are most of the fake people who taking benefit of this situation are in the process of making money by selling fake medicines. The police depicted that the seller named Charan Singh, who belongs from Lucknow was residing from the Bijwasan area of Delhi, was arrested from the R.K. Hospital in Rajendra Park in Gurgaon while selling fake medicines for swine flu.
The mediciens were charged Rs 40 for children and Rs 60 for adults. Despite of providing medicines, those 17 people died of swine flu in Haryana and 4 deaths were reported in Gurgaon. According to the health department, the investigation is still continuing.
