Truly said, a leader is someone who is looked upon for direction, motivation, and faith. At some point in your life, somewhere in your routine, whether in a startup or a top global organization, you will be playing the role directly or indirectly. Though it’s not an easy mellow position as it comes with responsibilities, eccentric characteristic, behaviour and persona.
Such charismatic characteristics have made worthy world’s top entrepreneurs. They have seen struggles, faced failures with indomitable spirit, earned success and have become influencers to be followed.

1. Jack Ma, Founder and Executive Chairman of Alibaba Group –
Jack Ma has been hugely commended by the entire world for his successful overtake of Alibaba on Walmart in gross volume. Beyond his exemplary success, he is lauded for his responsiveness leadership. It was his sheer dedication and ethical leadership that he decided to connect Chinese businesses with the world after the commencement of the internet in 1995. This is when he established Alibaba in 1999.

Instead of seeing wealth as an influence, he believes in nurturing younger generations through all possible resources as they are the future of the country. 2. Bill Gates, Founder of Microsoft Corporation –
Bill Gates is one of the richest businessmen in the world having a net worth estimated to be over $79 billion. Being one of the most significant figures in the computer revolution, Gates has also been one of the most influential leaders of the era.

Bill Gates truly believed in seizing the opportunity. He realized that knowledge in closed rooms can never bring change in the world. It’s the outrageous efforts that bring in action. Gates heavily emphasized being self-motivator and not do it just to pursue money. He appreciated competition but not viciousness. His leadership skills ranged from believing in doing good for society and work towards its improvement. He donated wealth in worthwhile causes like fighting AIDS in Africa and helping libraries in the US.
3. Elon Musk, CEO, and Founder of companies like SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink & The Boring company –
Compared to Steve Jobs, Elon Musk is a legendary leader in himself. He is ranked as one of the most powerful people in Forbes magazine. He is considered to be one of the leading visionaries and business experts in the 21st century.
Leadership lesson –
Elon Musk believes in dreaming big. He trusted in building a strong company brand and culture. His leadership skills emphasize on the contribution from every individual in his company to achieve big and share success. He has promoted a focused approach and never say no spirit. Elon Musk has been positive towards the constructive criticism like other top leaders and believes in working towards the big agenda through sharing ideas and achieving business goals.
4. Azim Premji, Chairman of Wipro –
Azim Premji is one of the most influential leaders in India and is credited to diversify Wipro from oil manufacturer to India’s top IT company. Started at the young age of 21, Premji has come a long way and inculcated leadership skills with learning over the time.

Azim Premji believes in the mantra “Keep striving for the excellence”. He considers the far-sighted approach and works towards the future. He understands that the world keeps on changing and thus being far-sighted fulfills the needs of the present and the future. He establishes ground rules to stay focus and not lose hope. Knowing one’s strength is the biggest asset anyone can rely on and should strive for success in keeping value intact.
