Steps to download an e-Aadhaar card:

- Step 1 – Visit the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) website.
- Step 2 – From the “Aadhaar Online Services” tab, select the “Download Aadhaar link”.
- Step 3 – Fill the details requested on the page titled “Download e-Aadhaar”.
- Step 4 – Request for an OTP after entering the captcha text.
- Step 5 – Enter the OTP sent to the mobile number as provided in the application form and download a copy of your Aadhaar card.

1. Locate the nearest enrolment centre
Any individual who wants to avail an Aaadhaar card must locate an Aadhaar enrolment centre nearby. Information about all the authorised enrolment centres is provided on UIDAI’s website. You will have to carry an identity proof and address proof while you visit the centre.
2. Submit the Aadhaar application form along with the required documents
After visiting the enrolment centre, you will have to fill up an application form. The form can also be downloaded from UIDAI’s website and can be submitted later to the respective enrolment centre along with the required documents for verification.
3. Provide your biometric information at the enrolment centre
Once the documents are verified, you will have to submit the biometric information of your iris scan and all the ten fingerprints. Applicants below the age of 5 years are not required to follow this step.
You will receive an acknowledgement slip once the application process is over. The slip will contain an enrolment ID that can be used to check your enrolment status later.
