The scientific concept behind this is that if kitchen is situated in front of the entrance, it kills ventilation.
The preferred location of the master bedrooms is considered to be the south east corner of the house. It is being constructed in such a way that it remains secluded away from the smell and sound of the cooking in kitchen. On the other hand square master bedroom is preferred over the rectangular ones.
