Vastu shastra is the science used in the field of construction and architecture. Be it the residential or the commercial projects, this is the basic concept in every construction process. When it comes to buying a house, very few people in India stress upon following the concept of vastu. It is quite obvious that each one of us wants our new beginning of life to be auspicious, isn’t it? Either be the superstitions, belief or faith, it definitely gives the utmost satisfaction to begin life in the right way.

There are different concepts adhered to this science. Different people have different views and sometimes tend to give more conflicting views. Importance of Vastu Shastra

Each direction holds certain meaning: East is for Lord Sun, West for the Lord Water, North for the Lord Kubera and South for the Lord Yama. I think in your childhood days, all of you have heard your grandparents talking that you should not sleep facing your head towards south or your kitchen should be east facing. All those concepts are nothing but important rules of vastu shastra. No doubt each one of us wishes to live a happy and prosperous life. Hence, following small tips by constructing your house according to vastu shastra will definitely bring prosperity and charm to whole family.

Below are certain simple steps that you must keep in mind while you invest in real estate.

Bhoomi Poojan:

It is well said that if “All that begins well, ends well”. Ensure that Bhoomi Poojan has been performed before the construction process gets start. It gives an auspicious start of the entire construction.

Apartment Facing:

Make sure that the apartment entrance faces towards east. The scientific logic behind this is that as the door gets open in the early morning, the rays of sunlight gets penetrated into the rooms through entrance which is a rich source of Vitamin D. This ensures that every members of the house gets vitamin D. North East is the another acceptable direction.

Kitchen:

The placement of kitchen should be in the south east direction, and the stove should be kept in such a way that while cooking it is faced towards east. It is a common saying that kitchen should never be situated in front of entrance. Because, its placement hinders the flow of the positive energies. The scientific concept behind this is that if kitchen is situated in front of the entrance, it kills ventilation.

Master Bedrooms:

The preferred location of the master bedrooms is considered to be the south east corner of the house. It is being constructed in such a way that it remains secluded away from the smell and sound of the cooking in kitchen. On the other hand square master bedroom is preferred over the rectangular ones.

Restroom Placement:

North west and South east direction are the two most preferable directions for placing restrooms. Make sure that kitchen or pooja room is not located close to it.
