Starring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra, Kesari is the movie based on Battle of Saragarhi. The battle which was fought on 12 September 1897 between Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army and Pashtun tribesmen of Orakzai and Afridi tribe in the North-West Frontier Province. It is the same battle in which the 21 Sikh soldiers of 36th Sikhs fought with 10,000 Pashtun. In this movie, Havildar Ishar Singh is played by Akshay Kumar who will be the one leading the Sikh regiment and fight against the Pashtun army till death. Though Akshay Kumar’s Kesari is based on the Battle of Saragarhi, but in the trailer, Akshay Kumar as Havildar Ishar Singh was also seen fighting with British and sentences Kesari i.e color saffron as the color of sacrifice and valor. This movie celebrates bravery and sacrifice of those 21 Sikh soldiers. From the fishy net of Britishers where they treat Indians like the dirt of their shoes and describe India as the land of cowards, Akshay Kumar is seen motivating his fellow soldiers. From the trailer itself, we can see the rusty war scenes, sword fighting and the Sikh soldiers wearing Kesari turbans and delivering cracky dialogues. Parineeti Chopra seems to be the better-half or love of Akshay Kumar in the film who is totally in love and is proud of her husband before he heads to the battle.
Looking at the trailer, most of the Bollywood celebrities have gone gaga including Abhishek Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Diljit Dosanjh and other. Seeing such a reaction from the B-Town itself, the movie has clicked everyone’s heart all over the world and outstanding for such a movie might be an understatement. Looks like, Akshay Kumar is coming with another hit this month with the debutant entry in Bollywood by the director, Anurag Singh and his team.

Looking at the dialogues which were showcased in the trailer looked punchy. Akshay Kumar saying “Aaj meri pagdi bhi Kesari, jo bahega mera lahu bhi Kesari aur mera jawaab bhi kesari” brings goosebumps and the one witty one saying “Chal Jhootha” which has been a buzz word in the town since the trailer has gone on the rolls. Not only this, there are many great dialogues in the trailer which means we can expect a lot of bassy and punchy ones in the movie too.
Since the last 7-8 movies, Akshay Kumar is on a roll when it comes to acting and subject. From Airlift, Rustom, Gold, Padman to Robot 2.0, Akshay Kumar has shown so many shades of characters in recent times. With so many hits in his bag recently, Mr. Khiladi is not putting any wrong step forward now. Kesari seems to be another right step for him with the Bollywood debutant director, Anurag Singh.
