The Last Visit

For a very long time I underwent through,
A pain that was very true.
Just hiding it was not helping,
Because somewhere inside I was terribly sulking…

Choking inside,
Crying at nights.
Past memories haunting me,
Like a nightmare all the time…

Nobody heard my cries,
As I was silently weeping.
All they could see,
Was a smile that I was faking…

Pain increased,
And its burden was becoming heavy.
I could not control the situation,
Because I was not at all ready…

Time was ticking away,
But, the wounds were not healing.
The only thing happening was,
I, before time maturing…

I lost my innocence,
And time made me tough.
Today, when I look back in time,
I feel it was all so rough…

Nothing to be cherished,
Lies in my past.
All I want is,
It should not last…

I always wanted to enjoy,
I always wanted to delete my past.
I always wanted to begin afresh
And I always wanted to give a new start…

But, past keeps chasing you,
Everything comes back to you again.
I wished to escape from reality,
But, couldn’t escape from the rain of pain…

Then one fine morning,
I think destiny decided to end all miseries.
A new strength grew inside me,
Which wiped off all my worries…

Something brought happiness,
And I felt so relaxed.
I gave my past to someone,
And got myself back…
